Add accounting to your software—without building it.

Invarent is the complete accounting backend behind your product: ledger, AP, AR, cash, reporting, close, controls, audit history, SDKs, webhooks, and customer portals—without turning your roadmap into an accounting-platform build.

Build everything your customers see. We built the accounting system underneath—the part you cannot afford to get wrong.

For vertical SaaS, fintech, and custom software teams.

Embedded accounting means your customers get real accounting inside your software—not a redirect to another product and not merely a data pipe into someone else's ledger. Your application owns the experience; Invarent owns the accounting infrastructure behind it.

Accounting is not another CRUD feature.

Creating an invoice object is easy. Preserving balanced books across retries, corrections, period close, approvals, reconciliation, reporting, and years of change is the expensive part.

Money must balance

Every posted effect is validated and committed atomically. Partial financial truth does not survive a failed request.

Corrections must be traceable

Posted history is preserved. Reversals and adjustments add the next explainable record instead of rewriting the past.

Tenants must stay isolated

Scoped credentials, runtime roles, row-level security, and negative-access tests protect every customer boundary.

Reports must tie back

Statements, balances, reconciliations, approvals, and source records remain connected to the same accounting state.

The full stack your roadmap should not have to absorb.

Start with a ledger and keep expanding through the same tenant model, API conventions, controls, and audit chain.

A connector is not an accounting system.

Unified accounting APIs are valuable when you need to connect to existing accounting products. Invarent is for teams that want the accounting product itself inside their software.

Know exactly what you are embedding.

What is embedded accounting?

Embedded accounting is accounting functionality delivered inside another software product. Your application owns the customer experience while Invarent supplies the accounting system of record, workflows, controls, reporting, and developer infrastructure behind it.

How is Invarent different from an accounting integration API?

A unified integration API connects your product to accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite. Invarent is the accounting system you embed. You can use both when you want Invarent to own the books and a connector platform to exchange data with an external system.

Which accounting capabilities are included?

The production API covers the general ledger, journals, charts and periods, AP, AR, cash, bank activity, reconciliation, financial statements, close, fixed assets, revenue and prepaid schedules, payroll, tax packages, job cost, government-contract controls, audit, and platform administration.

Can the accounting experience use our brand?

Yes. Teams can build their own interface on the API or use hosted portal surfaces while keeping the accounting workflow connected to the same tenant-isolated backend.

Why not build a ledger ourselves?

A ledger is only the beginning. Production accounting also needs exact money, balanced posting, period controls, corrections, approvals, subledgers, reconciliation, reporting, audit history, tenant isolation, recovery, and years of edge-case maintenance. Invarent makes those responsibilities a product dependency instead of a permanent internal platform project.

Does Invarent replace accountants?

No. Invarent supplies accounting software and bounded automation. Accountants and authorized professionals remain responsible for accounting conclusions, tax positions, audits, and government determinations.

Keep your engineers on the product customers buy.

Build everything but the accounting system

Start with an isolated sandbox, send the first business event, and prove the resulting journal, balance, report, audit record, and webhook before you design the full customer experience.
